VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Program at the Indiana Railway Museum

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer. By joining our volunteer team, you will become a member of a team dedicated to preserving and interpreting railroad history for our visitors.. Volunteers help the museum in many ways ranging from administrative functions to rail car hosts, from restoration work to rail operations.

The Museum is currently recruiting volunteers to assist in staffing ticket windows, provide administrative support, serve as restorationists, and as train crew.  Volunteers interact with a wide range of visitors encompassing all ages, backgrounds..

Volunteer assistance is needed on a daily basis during Museum hours. An extensive training program is required in order to serve as a member of the rail operations staff.  For more information on becoming a volunteer, or with help filling out the application, please call Teresa Richardson at 1-800-74-TRAIN or you may email info@indianarailwaymuseum.org.
